Aurette terms of use
Last updated 3 November 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and MIJU Limited, a company registered in New Zealand ("we", "us"), about your use of the Aurette app. By using Aurette you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
Who can use Aurette
You must be 18 or over.
What Aurette does
Aurette applies "looks" to photos you choose, using automated image-editing models. Results vary from photo to photo, may not be what you expected, and may occasionally contain mistakes. We add, change and remove looks over time.
Your photos
- Only use photos you have the right to use. If other people are in a photo, make sure they're happy for you to edit and share it.
- Don't use Aurette for sexual content, for anything illegal, or to harass, impersonate or mislead anyone. We may refuse a photo or stop providing the service to you if you do.
- You keep whatever rights you have in your photos and in the results. You give us permission to process your photos only to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy.
Subscriptions and credits
- Subscriptions and credit packs are sold through the App Store or Google Play, and their terms for payment apply.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the price shown when you subscribed, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel them in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
- Each plan includes a daily allowance of credits. Creating a photo uses credits; if it doesn't work, the credits are returned. Unused daily credits don't carry over to the next day, which starts at midnight UTC.
- Credit packs add credits that don't expire while you use the app. Credits have no cash value and can't be transferred.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
Availability
We work to keep Aurette running, but it may sometimes be unavailable or change. We may stop offering Aurette; if we do, we'll give notice in the app where we can.
Our responsibility
Aurette is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986, or other consumer laws that can't be excluded.
Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date above, and for significant changes we'll let you know in the app.
Law
These terms are governed by New Zealand law.
